Camping Needs You Will Want To Keep On Hand For Your Next Camping Trip

Custom Search

Camping needs are what we want to have on hand "just in case" you need them.

Your RV camper has plenty of storage room to pack these items in and you do not need to remove them after your camping trip. These camping needs will be a permanent part of your camper.

You will find many "cubbie" holes in your camper to put stuff in. Sit down and think about what you would need if you had an emergency. What would you need if someone got sick? What about a cut? How about a bee sting? Poison oak? Sunburn? Upset stomach? How about that ever dreaded diarreha?

You get the point! Think outside the box! Put those "what if's" to work. It is better to have these camping things and not need them than to need them and not have them. If you take small children with you on your camping trip, think about their camping needs. I will give you a few ideas we learned along the way. You do not always need these things, but they are there if you do.

Here they are:

  • Compact Television or Portable DVD Player
  • Walkie Talkies
  • Umbrellas
  • Tarps
  • Tools (hammer,saw,hatchet,screwdriver)
  • Batteries
  • Flashlights
  • Maps
  • Knife
  • Lanterns
  • Water Hose
  • Coolers
  • Whistles
  • Rope
  • First Aid Kits
  • Disposable Cameras
  • Weather Radio
  • Fly Swatter
  • Insect Repellant

Fill your kitchen with the needed supplies as your home kitchen. You will need paper plates and plastic eatery, napkins, can opener, old dish rags and pot holders, skillets, bowls and pans. Don't forget dishwashing liquid and hand soap. Hand sanitizer really comes in handy when away from your camper for children and snacking.

You can stuff in some extra pillows and sleeping bags, sheets, towels, toiletries and games. There is also room for DVD movies, board games, outdoor games and indoor activities like coloring books and word puzzles for those dreaded rainy days. I keep those plastic grocery bags for dirty clothes, garbage, baby bibs, small item holders, dirty shoes, wet clothing at the beach and even wrapping meat in the fridge so it won't leak out of the packages.

Hope this helps you decide what your camping needs are!
