Camping Wildlife and Nature Begs to Be Photographed

Custom Search

Camping wildlife is plentiful. You can see these critters everywhere you turn. They can do some of the most funny stuff.

Even though they are used to people around, they still are considered wildlife and could possibly bite or scratch you.

We were sitting at the picnic table late on evening eating supper, and this raccoon came right up to the table. He had the nerve to put his paws up on the bench where I was sitting. I shooooed him off.

A little later, we were sitting in front of the fire and had left the bread and stuff on the picnic table. After a while I got up to put the things away and realized the bread was gone.

I could not find the bread, or the sack it was in. That raccoon had to have cat's feet, because Ronnie nor I neither one heard him come up to the table. That scoundrel took our bread! They are sure daring!

It's nothing to see a raccoon digging through your garbage sack or a duck walking around the water's edge looking for minnows. At Town Creek Campground, there is the most beautiful yellow and black bird.

He likes to sit on top of your vehicle mirror and watch himself. He seems to enjoy being a bird. Birds are plentiful and so are the most beautiful butterflies. You are surrounded by the most awesome creation at a campground.

Deer are plentiful in camping wildlife areas. You will see them if you are hiking or at dusk. They are generally quiet and don't bother anyone. I have never had a deer walk up to our campsite, but have seen them as we come into the camp area just standing on the side of the road. They are some majestic animals, but keep in mind they are wild.

Our grandkids love to find the little baby frogs out near the water's edge. Crickets and roly-polys are plentiful. If you pick wood up off the ground, you can probably find lots of centipedes. You could spend hours looking at different trees and plants. If you love to observe camping wildlife and nature at it's best, you gotta go camping!

It's so easy to find brilliant flowers just growing wild. Your camera will want to be in your hand waiting for that once in a lifetime shot of creation. If you do not have a quality digital camera or even a camcorder, please get you one. You will want to capture those "Kodak" moments of your family and friends, also.

You will see the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. You will see some amazing boats and even some barge boats pulled by little tug boats. You can even get some good views of different landscapes. The scenery is awesome through a good set of binoculars also.

Camping photographs make a treasured scrapbook you will be proud to show off. You can create memories with your family that they will want to pass on. It's the small things in life that teach us the most sometimes. So enjoy nature, but be careful.

Keep your camera on hand at all times. You never know when you will catch that one of a kind picture of camping wildlife. You may even get one of those "you should have seen it" pictures. That is especially true for those fishermen "when the fish got away". You know what I'm talking about!!
