My husband, Ronnie, and I used to take our kids camping in a tent. We would load the cars down and head to the RV park.

We soon decided our age would not allow tent camping anymore, so we upgraded to a fold down. When you opened it, the room on the inside was amazing compared to a tent.

You could actually stand up in it and walk around. Even though some parts of it are like a tent, we felt we had become somebody special.

The beds had to slide out the ends and be supported by rods, but it was much better sleeping! Putting it up was a little more than just folding it up and putting it in a bag.

Everything had to go into the fold down camper just right in order for the top to close. We finally got that down to a science after using it a couple of times.

Now the fold down camper was fancy camping after a tent. Just like home, we had everything we needed, except a bathroom. This camper trailer had a cute little refrigerator, stove/oven, couch, dining table, sink, cabinets, hot water heater, air conditioner and lots of storage space. After a couple of years, 2 grandkids, bicycles, food, equipment and need for more room, we finally made it to a travel trailer, better known as an "RV".

We oohhh-ed and aahhh-ed at all the options in each one. There are big stripes, little stripes, propane tanks, 2 steps and 3 step entrances, air conditioners, smoke detectors and even carbon monoxide detectors. We saw televisions and dvd players, stereo systems, portable dining/picnic tables and different towing weights.

We loved them all, so which travel trailer was best for us?

Hummmmmmmmmm..... That may be the hardest part of camping!

We don't do as much traveling with our camper as we would like to. We generally stay in the surrounding area of our home. I know there are people out there that do travel in their camper and some actually live in their camper.

We know some people who live in their camper. They are with Campers on Mission. That is an Evangelism Group who travel around and share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. One day I would like to join that Mission Team and travel around in our camper.
